Services

Research into dyslexia has gathered momentum over the last fifteen to twenty years and so there are a great many younger and older adults whose difficulties may have gone unnoticed whilst going through the educational system leaving perhaps a great deal of misunderstanding and possible frustration over the years.

My service offers this first step in gaining that understanding by providing a full diagnostic assessment of needs. The assessment also involves the identification of strategies to overcome the specific difficulties and explaining how these difficulties are often balanced by some surprising strengths and how to optimise these strengths.

To view the full 45 minute documentary Left from Write - what is Dyslexia ?, please click here. This tells the personal story of discovery of the narrator and combines interviews with dyslexics and experts. It gives a fascinating insight into the advantages that go along with being dyslexic.

'Left from write' gives a very good overview of dyslexia. It recognises the strengths that people with dyslexia can have, while also acknowledging the challenges it can pose in education, work and life. It gives a very positive and balanced message about dyslexia.
